1. When fundamental safety and health standards are ignored, the vermin don't care about image management. They are delighted with cover ups that allow them to feed. So far the most likely scenario for the trail of the H5N1 avian flu that infected and killed 2600 turkeys at the Bernard Matthews' Holton facilities came from Hungary and then managed to be carried to the turkey sheds by vermin. There were three other sheds found with the virus in addition to the one where the turkeys died. It is not enough to make things look good. Actions must be effective in dealing with safety, health and hygiene which were not accomplished by Bernard Matthews as noted below.

Bernard Matthews was warned about hygiene breaches at its Suffolk turkey farm before the bird flu outbreak.
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs says gulls were seen taking meat waste from open bins. The Meat Hygiene Service gave advice.
The report says poultry imported to the UK from Hungary is the "most plausible" cause of the bird flu outbreak found at Holton in Suffolk on 3 February.
Bernard Matthews said it had followed all of Defra's biosecurity regulations.

The Meat Hygiene Service also said it had had to offer advice on rules that were being broken a number of times over the last year.
But investigators have found all food importing and processing activities at the Bernard Matthews plant at Holton complied with European law.
Defra announced that the firm had lifted a voluntary ban on poultry movement to and from Hungary, with effect from 0001 GMT on Saturday. But the company said the ban would remain in place for the time being.

Dear Mr Cameron
I watched your speech on BBC News24 and wrote the following Email afterwards complete with the continuous abuse I sustain from those using the surveillance technology while expressing myself with regard to this most important issue and what I consider to be a key source of the problems which impact society resulting in the extremes which get the attention of us all.
How children are treated refelects the essence of a society. The problem in my direct experience which I believe to be far more pervasive that most would care to admit is not that there is a fundamental neglect but a deliberate effort to hide the problems by attacking and discrediting the reporting of them. This has happened to yourself by this government.
I believe that the essence of the problem during the past decade of this government's "rule" is its concerted effort to manage image while covering up problems. I have spent the past decade addressing these problems by bringing them to the attention of those in positions of authority such as reporting crime and antisocial behaviour which I directly experience.
What I've described in relation to your "Walk-on-By" society comment has been my experience with this ten years ago while witnessing an assault which I reported and more recently witnessing the "Drive-on-By" police which I happened to photograph and publish in my web journal.
The legacy of this government is the fact of those in the civil service who have failed miserably to do a job and have made efforts to cover it up especially by shunting it along to someone else. Specifically here in this Lancaster West Estate environment, tenant management has been a complete and unmitigated disaster which has inverted the standards of society putting the antisocial and criminal personalty on top.
As a result, the child abuse I addressed eight years and nine months ago has resulted in the most abused child becoming a public bully taking on the role of the adults around him including his parents who have maintained the use of surveillance technology abuse against me 24/7 since August 1998.
While many people prefer to dismiss what I have to describe as my experience for all these years, everything that I report will be validated at some point as accurate. This, I believe, is the critically important problem of this society which emerges in the extreme violence we've been witnessing of late.
Let me provide a semi-analogy about what I am describing. There is a rubbish disposal problem on the Lancaster West Estate and always has been. The vermin don't care about the steps taken to make this problem "look good" as if there was not a problem. The vermin feed at night on the rubbish left on the floor and hide away during the day in areas which are also provided for them by tenants who leave personal effects in the Walkway permanently.
The same is true of the serious problems of domestic violence, child abuse and serious crimes which exist in this environment. If efforts are made to cover up the reporting of the serious character of these ongoing problems in the interest of image management, the criminals and antisocial types are delighted with this since they can then rely upon tenant management and the police not wanting to recognise the problem. The reporting statistics are managed not the problems.
As a result, these problems worsen and emerge as violence in the community. The children become abusive bullies and tearaways. A police officer is stabbed while on bicycle patrol as occurred a year ago October last. Domestic violence and child abuse persist. Children grow up during all the years of my experience in this environment recognising that the standard is one of brutality and destruction against the person who reports the problems which spill over into the larger community.
This communicates to them that it is all right for them to do whatever they want because the image management concerned tenant management, police and others including elected officials in the Royal Borough and central government will not do anything except attack continuously with a massive effort anyone who reports the problems as I've experienced 24/7 for all these years. All the resources are misdirected as a result. Standards are completely inverted.
Enclosed are copies of two Emails (see web journal entries for 15th February 2007 No 1 and 13th February 2007 No 1) I sent this week in relation to the two important events which reflect the problems I've experienced. No one is addressing these problems because they come from within. Those in government are failing society in the most incredible manner that is quite unbelievable which is the essence of the problem: no one wants to believe the truth.
You cannot address the problems of families until there are people in government who are capable of seeing the truth in front of their faces and acting properly in their professional capacities. Your idea of a Bill of Rights instead of a Human Rights Act is a waste of time. You must focus on the management of government itself based upon competence where those who abuse the system from within are not tolerated to remain as rotten apples to corrupt everyone especially the new who are entering professional activities of critical importance.
One of the real dangers is local control without any means of redress for grievances which need to be taken outside the local community to ensure that standards are maintained. You must first collect as much information about what the real problems are and then address them with solutions. A key source of the problems is the failure of the civil servants in many areas as we keep seeing and in this environment as I keep experiencing directly.

3. An Italian judge has ordered a trial for the rendition of Abu Omar to Egypt some four years ago and only recently released after excruciating torture. Twenty-six US citizens including CIA agents and a handful of Italians including intelligence operatives are charged. I think this is terrific and applaud the Italian judiciary and law enforcement for bring "extraordinary rendition to trial. I hope they can get all of these people back into Italy (most of the 26 US citizens have returned to the US) in order to reveal the full operation of this extra government and extra legal kidnapping, imprisonment and torture operation carried out by those who believe that no laws apply to them. I look forward to the Italian government making certain that no one can consider themselves outside and/or above the law.
This is the kind of activity which has been carried out against me for many years but without removing me to any other place. I recall vividly in about mid-June 2001 when kidnapping me was argued as I described two days ago on Wednesday, 14th February 2006 No 1. I recall that this occurred before I purchased tickets in June 2001 for a Nanci Griffith's concert at the Royal Albert Hall on 1st November 2001. It was the first day the tickets went on sale, and I was at the box office before it opened to get what I wanted if possible. As usual, I was followed there by those carrying out the surveillance abuse against me while I waited for the doors to open.
I recall this because of the point Colonel Vine made during the argument about kidnapping me hoping to convince Paul Winston (Metropolitan Police Special Branch) that it would be OK to do so. He had described kidnapping someone after a Royal Festival Hall concert when no one was the wiser. Therefore, I was very aware of this possibility while I was waiting to purchase the tickets at the Royal Albert Hall. This also hung over my head in the months until and during the concert. I did get home all right after the concert, but I was subjected to intense verbal abuse before, during and after as usual. And, I was hit very hard with surreptitious medication about 30 minutes before the doors to the Royal Albert Hall opened for the concert.
This whole process straddled 9/11. Rendition was a fact of life before 9/11 and was carried out in the UK with the compliance of its government. In my case the UK government refused to permit my kidnapping and presumably rendition about which I knew nothing at the time until this story broke at the end of 2005 in the Washington Post. I do not believe that rendition is used just for terrorists. I believe that it is used for removing anyone without going through the process of extradiction and/or for execution. I also believe as suggested in The Guardian on Wednesday, 14th February 2007 article that such kidnapping could mean removal to a secret prison on a US military installation in Europe or elsewhere.
Or, ultimately, this kidnapping process could be a means to "disappear" someone when they thought it could be done without detection or uproar from anyone. A convenient way would be to dump someone out of the aircraft at 30,000 feet over an ocean. So, I believe that rendition has many aspects but has taken on a special role after 9/11 when these operatives wanted to imprison and torture suspected terrorists or just pretend someone was a suspected terrorist to earn "points." Lt Harry Bird has referred to the fact that getting certain things done means that he earns "points." I swear he said it and caused me to laugh as I thought about that oft used phrase ". . . and points me prizes" which Humphrey Lyttleton often noted on that panel game of all panel game shows on BBC Radio 4: I Sorry I Haven't a Clue. This fit the completely clueless Lt Harry Bird et al perfectly and was quite funny. I'm still smiling about it. In many ways this activity is a walking farce derived from deeply black comedy where those carrying it out are, indeed, completely and totally clueless.

Italy orders CIA kidnapping trial

Osama Mustafa Hassan was allegedly seized by the CIA and flown to Egypt, where he says he was tortured.
Five Italians were also indicted by the judge, including Italy's ex-military intelligence chief, Nicolo Pollari.
The case would be the first criminal trial over the secret US practice known as "extraordinary rendition".
During rendition, people suspected of involvement in terror activities are taken from one country and flown to another, where many claim they are tortured.
