This reflects Tony Blair's infantile response to a problem of which he and this Government are the source.
When the Government itself is the source of violence against people, all this really means is that the British Government will teach core values to get the people especially the young on message, or they will get thumped. That's the "message" this Government really teaches.
I'm not talking just about invading a Muslim country or abusing human rights by democratically passing laws which are then overturned by the courts. I'm talking about the intense violence that this Government carries out using surveillance technology for a weapon 24/7 which has been going on for almost eight years. I'm talking about civil servants who think they are above the law by virtue of the fact that the work for the Government.
This is the real lesson that this Government is teaching people and especially the young. Children don't do what they are told. They watch adults and imitate the example set by actions.
It's what this Government actually does that communicates the real core values of this country, and those are at odds with the ideals that are verbally claimed as being the foundation of this country.
Actions must be consistent with words, and they are not. Making statements about teaching core values is so much nonsense and only reflects hypocritical image management. This creates cynicism.

There's more. You can start with these. Think well of yourselves? Think
