Terror 'may force freedom curbs'

John Reid is calling for more public vigilance

Britain might have to modify its freedoms in the short term in order to prevent their "misuse and abuse" by terrorists, John Reid has said.

He conceded that was never an easy request, but it was up to everyone to ask "what price our security, at what cost can we preserve our freedoms".

The UK faced its "most sustained period of severe threat since the end of World War II", the home secretary warned.

He urged people from all communities to help by being vigilant.

I'm all for an increase in public vigilance. It's the way I've lived for decades addressing crime and corruption in organised crime and government. He's twisted the use of language, however, when he claims that human and legal rights must be reduced so that terrorists cannot "misuse and abuse" legal and human rights. It's those in government against whom we need to be protected in a surveillance society where those using the surveillance are the ignorant bigoted thugs who carry out sadistic behaviour against those whom they do not like. These people in government on the ground are the real threat to everyone from the abuse and misuse of legal and human rights which they gladly abrogate while hiding behind their use of surveillance technology.

Racist hatred within the government coupled with corruption are the factors which will be unleashed when legal and human rights are lessened and left unprotected. Worse even is the fact that this abuse which comes from those in government will incite more radicalism and ultimately terrorism in those who are so inclined especially the vulnerable youth. Evidently, John Reid has not read my letter which I sent to him last Friday. See last Thursday's web journal entry.

What John Reid fails to perceive is the reaction of the fringe groups who see the actions of a repressive government which manifests itself in the reality of what those at the ground level actually do. He sits on top without a clue about what his own government people do on the ground. He has taken over from Charles Clarke because the Home Office was "dysfunctional" and "not fit for purpose" in his own words before the Commons Home Affairs Committee. There are hundreds of corruption complaints in the Immigration Service and some thousand are considered as corrupt in the Prison Service by introducing mobile phones and other perks (drugs) into prisons for profit.

John Reid has not woken up to the fact that he sits on top of a massive government department that has a history of corruption and failure which brought him into his position there with more revelations literally pouring out after he became Home Secretary recently. Instead of helping to maintain standards he is now seeking to drop fundamental and essential standards which protect the public from the abuses of the government in the interest of protecting the public from terrorism. This means that the terrorist has won his/her victory in destroying democracy and the democratic rule of law. In the abuse of protective standards government abuses will multiply with the terrorist watching these with glee feeling justified in attacking the innocent with suicide bombers while these fanatics will have more and better food to feed extremism.

Au contraire the Security Service (MI5) did at least receive my letter from last week since I received a reply today. While I might have problems with this reply (discussed below), at least I got a prompt answer although I might think this was a quick decision to dismiss the chunk of information which I sent without seriously considering it. I do not have any privacy and have not had any privacy for years. I am the target of totally invasive surveillance technology in the hands of the general public. I do not have any "freedoms" at all to which John Reid refers above.

These were all destroyed many years ago by those in government who feel that they are entitled to behave as vigilantes when using surveillance technology. It's even worse than that: the surveillance technology is being used as a weapon to carry out torture which has been going on 24/7 for eight years in the hands of scores of people at one time or another who delight in the sadistic crushing of a human life. Therefore, I do not feel any compunction to abide by the confidentiality caveat in small print at the bottom of the Security Service (MI5) reply letter which is published below. However, I have eliminated the name of the person who sent the letter since I do not want to disclose any information about anyone who works there.

My point in writing to the Security Service (MI5) was to alert it to the threat from within which abrogated democracy, the democratic rule of law and democratic institutions. The activities against me for the past eight years havebeen and are making a significant contribution to terrorism. It is something which will make everyone's job all the more difficult. The ability to use totally invasive surveillance technology as a weapon to abuse extensively for this very long period of time by the use of scores if not hundreds of people will inevitably lead to the radicalisation of those so included and push fanatics over the brink into terrorism.

I thought the Security Service (MI5) a far too intelligent organisation not to get sucked into a trap from the false allegations and false negative characterisations being made against me. At the most the Security Serice (MI5) would look into it, but I would believe that it would soon realise that all is so much nonsense when it comes to me. However, the problem still resides with those who are faking it and knowingly clogging the all important information pipeline with false information for personal corrupt self interest. I am reminded of John le Carre's The Tailor of Pananam, Aboslute Friends and Single and Single where complete fabrication, the macho need from the Yanks for self aggrandisement and the corruption of a UK police officer are all blended together in one giant web of deceit but in reality on a demented scale with fabrications, delusional machismo and corruption attempted by very demented people.

In my personal direct experience the whole process of surveillance is out of control and is shared across several departments of government including outside agents. This reality is far more strange and devastating than anyone could possibly imagine in order to create a work of fiction. There should be a crackdown on those inside the system who would fake it just as if they were agents who have penetrated the system to work in favour of the terrorists. I have no confidence in the Tribunal described in the above letter. The surveillance technology is far too sophisticated to be within their realm of understanding. Even if they do understand it, they could do nothing about it. That's the problem.

The Tribunal reflects a giant waste of time. This matter needs to go back to Parliament as the Joint Committee on Human Rights has suggested for the establishment of an arms length oversight organisation to cover the whole spectrum of abuse from the intelligence and security services including Special Branch and any other such organisation which is not immediately in the public awareness. There needs to be an oversight organisation in which the public has confidence. This does not exist. The reply letter above is a stock answer within the context of the bureaucracy and law as it currently exists. This needs to be updated. That is the key issue of all this correspondence which began on 1st August 2006.

Meanwhile, I can do nothing except keep on writing. I came here to fulfil a decades old ambition to live in the UK (I've been trying for years before this to do so) and to write a couple books with my life in danger from a reputed Mafioso landlord who had already attempted to kill me several times including the sensational murder of someone who looked just like me. The reporting of serious problems and the failure of corporate management and governments to function produced consequences which raised moral dilemmas.

Now it's the government itself who has been trying to kill me with the deliberate lethal use of surveillance technology for many years while carrying out surveillance technology R&D and medical experimentatiion. Look at what a treasure trove of information and experience has been dumped on me. This is heaven for a writer. I've learned everything about this surveillance technology thanks to its nature and the character of those using it.

If this begins to sound like satire, it's not. It's only the farcical nature of the situation produced by the character of the people involved. What people do in reality subject to their own delusions can be hysterically funny. Survival during eight years of torture in this farcical situation depends upon a sense of humour. It's the absurd reality of no hopers who cannot do anything attempting to fake it with the most sophisticated surveillance technology ever known.

Think about those wonderful people who gave the world the rescue of Jessica Lynch, and you'll realise the character of the people involved. Also, add the false claims from the US agents about a pilot who was imprisoned for six months in Yorkshire only to be released when the US team appeared in court without the promised evidence. They thought that all they had to do was speak and the world would comply with whatever they wanted. It does not work that way unless there is the mystique of surveillance technology involved. Then it still doesn't work in the long run.

This is black comedy of the worst kind, so if it appears funny from time to time, laugh. The lives of innocent poeple are at stake, and there are those with so little regard for themselves that they deliberately fake it in order to make it regardless of the consequences. Those at the top are out of touch with what those on the ground are actually doing. They then try to cover it up by creating successes which are hidden by the denial of legal and human rights.

Lt Harry Bird has most likely made the greatest security blunder of all time by revealing the ability of this surveillance technology. His equally greatest blunder was in employing a mentally retarded and emotionally disturbed child abuser and violent personality who was and is incapable of keeping her mouth shut. There is a long, long story surrounding all of this for all these years, but suffice it to say that that it was not only all divulged to me as part of sadistic torture, but many others were allowed to use the surveillance technology from this environment which ensured that word-of-mouth would circulate it throughout this country among the communities most likely to spawn terrorists.

This use of mentally retarded and emotionally disturbed people to make false allegations in the community against those that are not liked has come directly out of the COINTELPRO manual. Since this was an FBI operation against dissent back in the 1960s and 70s, I wonder if the Security Service (MI5) is not picking up COINTELPRO techniques in the UK. The difference between the FBI and the Security Service (MI5) is that the former is a law enforcement agency while the latter is not. They both have domestic security, counter intelligence and counter terrorism roles.

The other aspect of such a US government agent/contractor working for so long in the UK in a nonsense capacity involves the objective of penetrating the UK intelligence and security services with this surveillance technology which can make surveillance instruments out of those with whom Lt Harry Bird and Colonel Vine deal. Just how have the intelligence and security services protected themselves against this surveillance technology or have they done so at all.
