It will not wash.There is no reason for the Conservatives to be targeted, and they have no reason to disclose their lenders. They are not in Government and have no decision manking control over awarding lucrative Government contracts.This is an incredible sleaze scandal that covers the Labour Government and the Labour Party with muck that will never go away. It casts a long, dark shadow over the 2005 election and begs a confidence vote for this Government in Parliament.What has clearly emerged from this Labour Government is the fact that Tony Blair has run away with power thumbing his nose at everyone all along leaving this country in a mess. The worst of it has yet to penetrate the public consciousness.The fact of my torture 24/7 for over 7.5 years supported by this Government as part of surveillance technology R&D and medical experimentation on a nonconsenting human guinea pig with the full participation by the NHS will call into question all for which this country is supposed to stand.The fact that efforts to destroy human activity and life continue as of this writing indicates that the illusion of power triumphant will ultimately prevail over the democratic rule of law by destroying those who speak up criticsing Government policy and its actions at all levels.This Government reflects mob rule because it supports such vigilante behaviour despite being fully informed for all these years. This is especially true of Tony Blair. It's time for root canal reform on Government itself to separate powers and create checks and balances. An elected President/head-of-state needs to be instituted with his/her selected cabinet of "experts" not elected MPs who should be an autonomous legislative body and a check on the executive.There needs to be a completely independent judiciary and judicial system so that redress of grievances under the law can be carried out independently of the legislative and executive authorities in government.A constitutional monarchy with an unwritten constitution such as this country represents results in the tyranny of the monarch being transferred to the Prime Minister without any check on his/her power. It is time to begin a meaningful discussion on the source and abuse of power in this country.A written constitution needs to be developed to implement these reforms. Let the discussion and argument commence to preserve and protect the democratic rule of law and its institutions before it is too late to do so.Hear! Hear!
