MI5 taken off July bomber's trail

Bombs on three Tube trains and a bus killed 52 people MI5 officers assigned to investigate the lead bomber in the 7 July attacks were diverted to another anti-terrorist operation, the BBC has learned. Mohammad Sidique Khan was known to the police for suspected petty fraud. But sources have now told BBC News the security services had been so concerned about him they had planned to put him under a higher level of investigation. A parliamentary report on the 7 July suicide bombings said the security services cannot be blamed. The Commons intelligence and security committee did not accuse any agency of negligence over the attacks. But the cross-party committee is asking why the lead bomber, who was known to police, was not fully investigated, despite being known to security officials.

I suspect that they are not getting insight from the operatives actually doing the work or from only those who repeat the established story. This is where the media comes in to provide balance in the public interest. There is also the element that they do not want to undermine public confidence.The problem is that when such a report is issued which absolves those responsible of blame, the public loses confidence since it is obvious that there were failures somewhere because the bombings occurred. Those failures had to be with those charged with the intelligence and security of this nation as Professor Glees has said in the article.Yesterday I sent an Email to the members of the Intelligence and Security Committee (copy below) expressing my own direct experience in general terms which began seven months before 9/11 with respect to this most significant surveillance technology being used in London. This committee represents the key element in this democracy which provides the oversight responsibility to ensure that these secret organisations operate as they should.I can state unequivocably in my own direct experience that this has not been the case. The fact that these activities were carried out against me with the knowledge of scores of people including ministers of state means that the management decision making process in the security services is terribly flawed, and it's going to get worse due to the intake of thousands. By draining away resources as has occurred in my direct experience this had to contribute to the failure to monitor Khan in a significant way.It does not have to be direct because such a waste initiates a knock on effect contributing to similar abusive behaviour and misguided efforts. On top of this every efffort is made by those abusing surveillance technology to squash the target to keep him/her from reporting the truth. However, there were too many people directly involved with knowingly participating in this abuse including fabricating allegations and carrying out torture violence using the surveillance technology as a weapon. This means it cannot be covered up and also means that the problem is pervasive.This is the explicit failure which contributed significantly to the 52 killed and hundreds injured on 7th July 2005 in the London bombings because this has continued throughout this period of over five yeas up to and including this writing. It never stops dragging down the whole system for the personal corrupt self interest of those in control who seek to cover up their criminal acts and gain materially.It's not that it takes time to change the course of the "oil tanker" of intelligence and security. The fact is that there was no intention or desire to make such a change. The activity was so entrenched as a method of operation that no one was about to change it. In my direct experience this comes from the fact that those actually doing to work are of limited ability and given the use of surveillance technology realise that they can fake it to make themselves look good at the expense of innocent targets. Who's to know the difference? Then, the excuses and rationalisations come pouring out after the failure results in the bombings as occurred on 7th July 2005.In April 2001 immediately after the BBC Television Centre car bomb explosion, Lt Harry Bird said "I'm going to spread it around that he's the bomber." I knew that this was nonsense and was being fabricated for the purposes of harassing me and creating a false justification for caryring on with the surveillance technology usage against me. This was a process started in August 1998 which Lt Harry Bird had just joined in February 2001 along with Colonel Vine. These were tow former US Marines who brought along the most sophisticated surveillance technology ever known and proceeded to abuse its use for their own greed, glory and power.At the end of August 2001 I was falsely accused of a laundry list of violent crimes. Just after 9/11 I was being associated with Al Qaeda when that word become public knowledge. This was repeated again last night in an effort to continue the surveillance activity against me while keeping up the torture pressure. Everytime there is a news item, I am attacked with fresh false allegations and false negative characterisations including "sleeper," "car bomber" and "suicide bomber."This list goes on and on with all the negative characterisations that can be made to create a danger and a threat which is totally unjustified with nothing to support them except emotive language. It creates the illusion that they are doing something significant. This is what wrecks the intelligence and security effort by draining resources from targets who are genuinely connected and associated with terrorist risk.Just after 9/11 I started explicitly writing about the fact that this false activity contributed to that intelligence and security failure in the US by clogging the intelligence information with deliberately fabricated junk. I did the same thing last summer when those events unfolded especially after the dud bomb attacks on 21st July 2005.These events brought the whole problem right into this area where I live making my comments, analysis and conclusion all the more directly valid. That has been confirmed by these disclosures. I also sent an Email about this to Mi5 last summer on their web site. According to what I heard thanks to the surveillance technology, MI5 actually investigated what was going on here but did not stop it. The failures are clear at least to me.This totally misguided effort still goes on as of this writing as those who are operating the surveillance technology screech, bellowing, moan, groan, protest and generally carry on with verbal abuse hysteria in order to sustain their fraudulent use of the surveillance technology. As long as this goes on, there will be no reasonable prospect that the elevated risk level to this country from terrorist attacks is being meaningfully reduced.Until those who are evaluating and reviewing security and intelligence operations can understand what is happening at ground level, the abuses which put this country at risk from terrorist attacks will continue. There will be no words sufficient to cover up the death and injury which results.The great problem is that the intelligence and security operations are being managed for political reasons as we have seen throughout the time this Government has been in power. This has to be stopped by learning about and understanding what those in intelligence and security are actually doing and how well managed it is.
