I support all the efforts to get Alan Johnston released and deplore the fact of his kidnapping and imprisonment in Gaza. The events of the past days in Gaza are of great concern. However, I want to compare and contrast his imprisonment by terrorists in Gaza with the US/UK government sponsored and run imprisonment, torture interrogation, medical experimentation and lethal use the surveillance technology for R&D purposes. I do not believe that there is any difference except that I have been subjected to torture 24/7 since August 1998 by a large group of local vigilante criminals and imprisoned indefinitely since February 2001 by surveillance technology from which there is no escape. This constitutes almost nine years of 24/7 abuse by these governments, but no one does or says anything about it. Instead, I am abused in the extreme for accurately reporting what is happening by all those involved who want to deny their and other's extensive criminal behaviour including the media who commit the crime of silence. Which is the worst: to be tortured to death by the US/UK governments or held captive in Gaza?

• Birthday calls to release Suu Kyi. Together the UK and US governments have created a situation that is worse than that which exists in Burma. Far worse.

• UK's 'deep concern' over Rushdie. Human rights including freedom of thought and expression are not among the attributes of character among the Muslim fundamentalist.

• Jail inmates will be freed early. Did various Home Secretaries envision electronic incarceration as I've been experiencing for many years as the future to the exclusion of increasing prison capacity?

• Troops find neglected Iraqi orphans. Here the G.I. shines like his world wide reputation has been in the past from WWII as the kind, benevolent warrior caring for the orphans of war. The character of Lt Harry Bird is completely the opposite and, sadly, represents today's G.I. more accurately.

1. Today Aung San Suu Kyi is 62-years-old. She was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991 "for her efforts to bring democracy to Burma." As noted below, 11 of her past 18 years has been spent under house arrest. She has been a political leader trying to gain power in a democratic manner. In the UK those in power are trying to maintain that power by throwing away democracy while shifting sovereignty to the US thanks to Lt Harry Bird. The US military and the US have taken over rule in North Kensington. This is the reality of my situation. Together the UK and US governments have created a situation that is worse than that which exists in Burma. Far worse.

I have been subjected to surveillance technology driven torture for a total of almost nine years starting in mid-August 1998. I was tracked wherever I went. When I tried to address this legally after 2.5 years of continuous correspondence to those in positions of authority failed, I was subjected to the most sophisticated surveillance technology ever known commencing in February 2001. This has enabled a total invasion of privacy, monitoring and tracking which has been described by Lt Harry Bird as "house arrest" while declaring me his "prisoner."

This is an accurate description of the abuse from this surveillance technology he and Colonel Vine (both former US Marines and now US government agents) introduced just after George W Bush became the US president. Not only does this constitute imprisonment, but I am subjected to continuous, nonstop torture interrogation 24/7 which is intended to destroy human activity and ultimately human life. I am subjected to both R&D for the surveillance technology and medical experimentation including the surreptitious administration of medication intended to incapacitate and debilitate while torture technique experiments are accomplished.

I have never been free from continuous surveillance torture abuse for almost nine years 24/7 including false imprisonment and the torture as described. Aung San Suu Kyi has been subjected to her house arrest detention for 11 years intermittently over a period of 18 years. While she has had the benefit, however cursory and unjust, of some form of public decision and opportunity to plead her case including in the international media, I have never had any forum whatsoever where I could challenge this activity carried out against me. In fact, my efforts to bring this under the protection of the High Court as provided by the Protection From Harassment Act of 1997 and the Human Rights Act of 1998 met with the destruction of these March 2001 proceedings by the intense abuse from the surveillance technology used against me.

This situation is far worse than that of Aung San Suu Kyi as bad as her house arrest might be because I have been subjected to intense torture 24/7 around the clock for all these nine years with the intent to destroy life. There is no admission by the UK government that this is taking place despite the fact that scores if not hundreds of people have participated in this activity with first hand experience and knowledge of what is being done. These people have included elected officials and those in various positions of government up to the ministerial level of government. Those in the police and judicial system have been reported as being present.

Despite all of these people participating, I am falsely accused of having a mental health problem for reporting accurately what is taking place. This is far, far worse then the system of government in Burma, way beyond what George Orwell might have imagined and far beyond what Stalin, Hitler or any other of these tyrants might have done with respect to those whom they did not like. At the same time the media will not report the reality of what is happening or even report what I have to say. As a result, the ultimate impact of what I am experiencing and have been experiencing for nine years 24/7 will be catastrophic when it becomes generally known which will inevitably happen when it is too late.

Image management does not succeed and eventually leads to serious problems and collapse. It's like feeding vermin. People who pretend that everything is all right during the day but leave the rubbish out all night are feeding the vermin who will flourish no matter what the "image" might look like during the day. Those who make false allegations about my mental health while I accurately report what is happening are also feeding the vermin in this case because many, many people know the truth. That reality of what is happening and how it is being carried out is known widely because Lt Harry Bird has shown off this surveillance technology widely for many years. People used to come asking for a job. BS got a "job."

The vermin in this latter instance are the terrorists, and terrorists have developed nearby who were among those who participated in the dud bombing attempt on 7/21 two summers ago. It doesn't do any good to try to cover up this extreme brutality and blame the victim as is trying to be done here because the truth is known to the vermin who will retaliate in a most extreme manner by terrorist attacks. Trying to cover up the Enron deceit resulted in its collapse. It just is not possible to get away with any activity that is founded on fraud and deceit for it will eventually surface. That always happens. In the meantime the vermin are feeding off the rubbish or feeding off ideological hatred while I plod on maintaining respect for and trying to get the democratic system to work properly. Some of us are like that, you know.

The West has become too complacent in failing to recognise the threat from within by those who would destroy democracy for their own corrupt self interest. It's too easy to point the finger at places like Burma and ignore the reality at home while pretending that the UK is above all that insisting such a thing could never happen here. Sadly, it is happening and has been for the past nine years in my direct experience. It doesn't do any good to attack me with false allegations and false negative characterisations because that is not reality. Too many people know the truth.

Birthday calls to release Suu Kyi

At Ms Suu Kyi's party headquarters birthday candles were lit

Human rights campaigners have renewed calls for the release of Aung San Suu Kyi on the Burmese opposition leader's 62nd birthday.

In India Burmese nationals living in exile staged a protest on her behalf.

Ms Suu Kyi has spent 11 of the last 18 years under house arrest. In 1990 her National League for Democracy won polls that were annulled by the army.

Her latest period of detention, which began in May 2003, was extended by another year in May of this year.

The Salman Rushdie knighthood recognition in the UK continues to reverberate in the Muslim world providing clear evidence of the serious problem that Muslims have which is the foundation of their terror and destruction. The UK's envoy to Pakistan has expressed "deep concern" over comments by a Pakistani minister about Sir Salman Rushdie's knighthood.

Religious Affairs Minister Mohammad Ejaz ul-Haq had said the honour meant a risk of suicide attacks because Muslims believed Sir Salman had insulted Islam.

But High Commissioner Robert Brinkley said it was untrue that the knighthood was intended to insult Islam.

Sir Salman's book The Satanic Verses sparked worldwide protests in 1989.

Jail inmates will be freed early

Lord Falconer said the measures would come into force on 29 June

Some inmates serving jail terms of four years or less will be released early to ease prison overcrowding in England and Wales, Lord Falconer has said.

It would mean about 1,200 prisoners being released up to 18 days early on licence, he told the House of Lords.

It would not include those convicted of serious sexual or violent offences, the justice secretary added.

He also said 1,500 new prison places would be created - the first of these available from early 2008.

His statement comes as the prison population breaks the 81,000 barrier for the first time.

The Conservatives have condemned the plan to release prisoners early. Their home affairs spokesman Edward Garnier said it posed a risk to the public.

Lord Falconer said work to construct 500 of the new prison places would start "immediately". These are in addition to 8,000 places already announced which are expected to be built by 2012.

4. "I'm going to stay," said BS this morning. The following video story is about as devastating as anything you might see. A caution is needed if you are subject to emotional upset by images of seriously abused children who are neglected to the point of death. Here the G.I. shines like his world wide reputation has been in the past from WWII as the kind, benevolent warrior caring for the orphans of war. These are children with special needs who are in need of even more special care.

The incredible abuse carried out by those in charge of these children apparently resulted from them selling on the food and clothing for these children leaving them without and in some instances chained to beds. This is neglect and deprivation at its most extreme. The only thing worse than this that has made the news which I've seen would be the concentration camps of Nazi Germany, but they at least had clothes.

Today there was a continuous abuse argument carried out by those using the surveillance technology today with a barrage of false allegations and continuous incitements to carry out violence against me involving extreme interference in my activity as I was working on the above especially the Aung San Suu Kyi written comments. One of the concluding remarks after a great deal of verbal "discussion" was the statement from BS "I'm going to stay." I call this an "abuse argument" because I am forced to listen to it with the use of surveillance technology and it contains the same routine statements which are part of an abuse performance.

I was reminded about this declaration when I first saw this extreme example of child neglect. BS has been neglecting her children for the past nine years 24/7 while she obsessively carries out the surveillance technology abuse against me without any break whatsoever by her own admission except for the day and a half she said was absent to give birth to another child. Evidently it was promptly neglected by her immediate return to the 24/7 surveillance technology abuse. BS' children are not neglected to this extreme, but the neglect has had devastating results nonetheless most of which are internal and not visible as are these.

The difference is that this neglect has taken place with the full knowledge of those in positions of authority throughout these many years including my reporting it as such. Maybe there is not a difference because those in authority in Baghdad and those in authority here are opting for their own corrupt self interest at the expense of the children for whom they are charged to provide care. Perhaps the difference rests with the attempts to blame me for what they are actually doing themselves in order to hide their various crimes.

There is another serious difference. Lt Harry Bird and BS are using surveillance technology to make me defenceless in the same manner that children are defenceless against adults. They are carrying out extreme abuse of the kind intended to shut down all my activity and even destroy my life. Thus, they are attempting carrying out by a different method the same kind of impact that would occur against children by neglect. By abusing me as they do with chronic sleep deprivation, surreptitious administration of medication intended to debilitate and incapacitate and continuously abusing me verbally around the clock, they are trying to create a situation that would have the appearance of neglect, but in this situation it would be considered an adult neglecting himself.

Therefore, on the one hand BS is neglecting her children while on the other hand she is trying to create the appearance of neglect by making every effort to incapacitate me through abuse from the surveillance technology. Many people would just give up. I have not and never will. I will die from the abuse of the surveillance technology at some point, but that will be considered natural causes. No one will note the truth of the abuse that has been accomplished 24/7 for the past nine years which has caused personal injuries and will result in my death.

What has been most astounding about this situation of abuse against children and the adult who reported the child abuse is that those who are carrying it out with the surveillance technology are allowed to make all the decisions with regard to their own activity. Thus, this explains the declaration by BS that "I'm going to stay." There is no management control at all. Lt Harry Bird and BS are allowed to carry out a massive fraud which they cover up by the 24/7 use of surveillance technology completely dominated and controlled by them. No one, but no one, has stopped these people and allowed normal, investigative surveillance to take place if it is warranted.

As astonishing and outrageous as this abuse against these children is seen in the video on the BBC web site (link below), it reflects the same attitude and actions which are being carried out knowingly with the blessing of those in authority in the UK who are allowed to act out their sadistic destruction of human activity by those who share the same sadistic disposition. A characterisation by a commentator on BBC News24 stated that children like these are treated as if they were prisoners. This is, of course, exactly how I am being treated without any of the benefits of the protection of the law and government which would exist in the legal justice and prison systems of this supposed democratic country.

It is rather refreshing to see these US G.I.s rescuing and caring for these children instead of the tragedies which surround the reports of children being killed by them. These children could not ask anyone for help. They were seen over a fence by these G.I.s who then intervened. The sad situation nowadays is that the US G.I. is all too often like Lt Harry Bird who is a viciously sadistic and destructive person thriving on the destruction of human life as he is doing here using surveillance technology as a weapon.

The big problem today is the fact that an adult cannot report this activity, unlike children who cannot report the abuse against themselves in many, if not most, cases, with the result that no matter to whom I communicate or what I say all of which accurately describes what is being done to me, none of it has had any effect with someone actually bringing this extreme abuse to an end at anytime during the past nine years. This is a society which thrives on sadistic abuse for the gain of those who carry it out. Doesn't say much for this society does it?

Two dozen boys have been found starved and neglected at a government-run orphanage for special needs children in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

The children were discovered last week by a US military advisory team that was out on patrol with Iraqi soldiers.

The emaciated boys, some near death, were left naked and covered in their own excrement on concrete floors, images broadcast by CBS News showed.

The US soldiers found fully stacked kitchen shelves and new clothes nearby.

The boys had been kept in the shocking conditions for more than a month despite the orphanage having been staffed, the troops said.

Nothing has struck me as so accurate, humourous and poignant than Bill Mauldin's cartoons from WWII which he published in his book Up Front. He characterises the war about as accurately as anyone could and was celebrated for having done so. One of those characterisations deals with the problem of children and hunger in war. His famous cartoon characters Willie and Joe are the epitome of the dogface fighting a miserable war that has made a misery out of everyone's life as all wars do with a sense of humour and modesty masking a dedicated effort.

He writes about the cartoons in an extraordinary narrative of the essence of war and the G.I.: "It would take a pretty tough guy not to feel his heart go out to the shivering, little six-year-old squeaker who stands barefoot in the mud, holding a big tin bucket so the dogface can empty his mess kit into it. Many soldiers, veterans of the Italian campaign and thousands of similar buckets, still go back and sweat out the mess line for an extra chop and hunk of bread for those little kids." (Bill Mauldin, Up Front, Henry Holt and Company, New York, 1944/5, pps 66-7.)

The wars today have changed with those fighting them staying in protected compounds with all the material goods from the US provided while they go out on patrol into the surrounding city or countryside. This has been the way for Vietnam and now Iraq. That's why it is refreshing to see the G.I. taking care of the orphans of war who are being abused by neglect quite literally to death. What I wanted to present is the facts of what had occurred in WWII that gave the G.I. a different reputation than the one that now exists as I described above. Bill Mauldin has provided this evidence from cartoons he drew in 1944 and text he wrote in 1945. Compare these cartoons with the video clip (link above). There's no difference. It's too bad that this is not the image which persists for all G.I.s in Iraq and elsewhere.
