Slowly put notebook away and into hall; brought along bags and zipped bedroom. Guy came downstairs but did not see him (most likely MC guy who left shortly after).  Unlocked door quietly and got a lot of activity below before doing this.  Back to chair and MC departed; got the bit in the road on video; nice shot with light in the morning dark; got everything together; listened to R4 for a bit then left.  

0815    Out quietly; rubbish 3rd chute door still open; 2nd 2 lg 4 sm on floor; no one about; out the other end Bram doors and down passed G Twr to Silchester then thru Verity Close area; up Clarendon Rd to OAP restaurant and down to Portland Rd; thru Julie’s where I picked up a young mother and two small girls going to school evidently; unfortunately they went the same way and with the second nervous look at me in the phone kiosk area I just went the other way from them and met them on that road that comes out of the church park to Holl Pk Ave; crossed street and avoided them; went on to Holl Pk Ave and down to Addison, Lwr Addison and Addison Gdns to Shep Bush Rd eventually; went on across thru Tusseley to Ham ESJ.  

0915    Signed on at Hamm ESJ; got the guy again who is very inquisitive and explained what I am doing especially in light of the fact that I was early to get back and get to work on my job search activity to maintain continuity without a mid-day disruption; explained about web site activity; Java-2's availability free; Linux with Corel’s WordPerfect; explained the skills prob and job search over the net.  Signed on and left after long conversation.  

0930    Walked to Tesco for food (6.85 chips, haddock, milk, fresh tagliatelle, doz eggs, 2 chicken soups, doz crumpets) and pubs (1.49 PC Direct).  Mis charged for 1.81kg chips 1.59 not 0.99 as stated on case sign; refunded difference and gave me product free (total refund 1.59 which is noted as cash now: chips were essentially free).  

1015    Walked home via the same route as over thru Julie’s and Verity Close to the walkway by G Twr.  Sun coming out and drying out after rain.  

1120    Post on rtn: Viking cat; PCur bank stmts.  Put away food; drank couple glasses of milk; love that!!; cooked some of the pasta; changed clothes; settled in to eat pasta and after setting up notebook.

Tue, 5 Jan 1999 - 14:25:51    Flushed toilet a bit ago after heels came into Walkway and entered squeaky door but no shutting; I had also just rinsed out the pasta dish and pan in the kitchen to much water noise in the wall from elsewhere which was already running when I went into the kitchen.  When I came back out to the table; there were voices outside; I then went into the bathroom and seemed to have attracted “heels” attention too.

Times for a bit of a rest.  Didn’t last long as I got up to fill the tub for a bath.

Wed, 6 Jan 1999 - 02:26:23    My bus driver’s dream who continued to drive after an accident; turned the bus on it’s side and continued on; passing all the beat up wrecks of autos; now I was yelling at him to stop driving; but he went on and got lost; woke up.  All is quiet for the moment out there.

Wed, 6 Jan 1999 - 02:47:59    Discovery has stopped running; another auto just went by a couple mins ago; there have been sounds of hard door slamming deep within the bowels of the Walkway sounds like a dull thud with vibration felt in floor; coming from 1st floor?? Or from other end??

Fri, 8 Jan 1999 - 01:32:22    Discovery is running; woke up a few mins ago to my second dream but again cannot remember it; do no think that I made any noise as it was calm and so was my reaction; as I was trying to get back to sleep after the first wake up and interlude listening to the activity outside and music talk on R3 I thought I heard Discovery start.  This was followed by several thumps on the floor above then I went to sleep;    Did not stop to write anything then as I wanted to get back to sleep and did only to dream and wake up again.

During the download form about 0430 onwards immediately after Discovery finished, thee were autos pulling up and leaving outside; first one came about 0432 and silently pulled up and parked; Then there was a car door slamming and one left; another pulled up about five and two doors slammed loudly with voices out front as they wen tup the footpath.

Fri, 8 Jan 1999 - 06:59:55    Into the tub for a bath with top up.  Shaving difficult; ran out of blades finally; hair; only a couple of water noises from pipes in wall one of which was right after I coughed (rinsed hair on back and caused coughing); drained the tub at end.  No noises whatsoever from below but there was very loud noises from the centre of the Walkway when I first went into the bathroom: front door slammed then loud mail flap knocks and yelling for someone continued for several minutes before stopping.

0805    Someone hit the wall/ceiling below just as I locked the bottom lock on the door to leave; dumped the rubbish down the top, open chute (2 bags on floor + TV set & 5 or 6 lg bags below); guy coming down from above as I left (signaled from 503; looked like he was scurrying overhead to get down to see me); out into the walk past Gren Twr to Silchester Rd and thru Verity Close area to Clarendon Rd up to Portland Rd and Julie’s; on passed phone kiosks and church park out to Holl Park Ave to Addisons and over to Shep Bush Road and Tesco for some food (0.53 biscuits); no razor blades at all there ; just razors.

0855    Walked back via Addisons and across Holl Pk Rd to Holl Pk Ave; up to Portland Rd and the Practice; Sue did not come back until Thursday due to holidays; Dr S was a bit wrong in telling me that she would call me on Mon or Tue of this week.  Walked to Holl Pk Ave across it and up to Holland Park where I went across the “hill” to Ken Hi St and the cinema: Little Voice is playing there but does not start until 1400 and is £5.00 (way too much for me).  Walked down to the library stopping at the gents first to brush my drying hair to keep it from looking like a mess.  

1010    Town Hall library: browsed music and books and got the first two Joan Baez albums (0.90  Pubs) and the Gitta Sereny book Cries Unheard.  Walked back over the hill thru the square route and down Holl Pk Ave to Clarendon Rd; down to the post office near Julies and got a stamp (0.20 Post) for TPT’s overlooked letter; went to a bench in front of Julie’s to scribble a note on the front and posted it in front of the Clarendon Cross PO; walked on down Clarendon Rd thru Verity Close area; Silchester Rd and down the path by Gren Twr; met cleaner at bottom of Bram stairs and told him not to hurry because he was doing an important job and thanks; he was trying to come down the last flight of stairs quickly because of me.  Met no one else on my journey to my door.  

1120    Post on rtn: Back Office mag; Back Officer user group mailing; Barclays Additions notebook & notification that new card is ready; Barc loan solicitation again.  

Setup notebook; sorting and reviewing post; eating biscuits.
