Mon, 17 May 1999 - 06:34:19    Into the bathroom for a dump and bath; it turned into a nightmare of noise and disruption from the Screamer below:

No sooner had I sat down on the toilet than the front door slammed; an infant was making noises as someone approached this end quickly; the dog started barking, and they went into the flat below; almost sounded like the locks were unlocked but the door opened with two voices talking underneath which I continued to hear when they were inside.  Most unfortunately despite my best efforts, I made a noise while defecating; it was a natural function and entirely unavoidable; the sound of gas coming out; a reaction from below was inevitable; I did hear a phone ringing elsewhere.  I did not flush the toilet to avoid aggravating the situation.

I got into the tub, but it was a bit too cold due to the cold weather outside; after having removed the hose and wash cloth to the sink; I got the hose and turned on the hot water; it made a short bubbling sound then was absolutely quiet; the hot water tank refill started immediately;

there was a door slam below and someone left; I cannot recall if there were one or two returns but believe there was only one (might have been two though; I’ll just note the important one); also there was a door slam upstairs and someone came down the stairs;

I shut off the hot water into the tub as it had heated it a little bit; the front door slammed and someone came to the flat below; sounded like they were dragging something but must have been the clothes they were wearing; the noise at the door started the dog barking; a heated discussion occurred underneath which I could hear in the bath tub; I had not done anything except be very quiet until then having already turned off the hot water into the tub and replaced the wash cloth and hose in the sink; the heated discussion was one sided heat from the Screamer who kept yelling; although I could not understand what was being said the one word “noise” came through; the woman who arrived was calm but firm in what she was say; apparently the screamer was disagreeing and arguing loudly; this went on for awhile as the one who arrived was trying to escape having moved to the door a couple of times opening it with her voice coming out into the Walkway; she finally managed to get away from the screamer and scurried off; I did not hear that same sound of something dragging;

I waited a bit and then washed my hair, shaved and washed; there were only a couple sounds of water down the drain; one early on with no refill noise and one just before I started to drain the tub; this was accompanied by water sound in the wall which I thought was coming from below; there were noises from below including something dropped that made a loud noise; I sat in the tub until it had almost drained; as I started to get out; someone hit the wall below several times very hard with the last blow as hard as possible; this was obviously directed at me intentionally as harassment; there had also started a 50 cycle electrical buzz from somewhere that I never heard before; dried off; combed hair; got dressed and left the bathroom after wiping out tub as it completed draining; the elec buzz was still going as I left; did she do some damage below when hitting the wall to the elec light or at some point in her anger?

Mon, 17 May 1999 - 13:26:02    Back to chair; with time update on notebook on bed.  Guy had started his edger again out front and was trimming when I returned; as he finished and was leaving; someone (female) from below yelled: “Stop that loud noise”.  Could not believe that she was yelling that at the guy taking care of the yard; it certainly was not me because I was not making a sound.  She is going off the deep end.  

Closed out all the programmes and rebooted to get SoftFile Desktop again at load then closed all but it for the scan and print; scanned four pages of 363s AR; printed to copy; made only a couple minor squeaks; got a very
hard hit against the rear wall at the end.

1425    Out; locked and gone; no one in the Walkway except the cleaner and his machine at the other end; down middle stairs; saw no one back here; turned around, passed cleaner and out the Bram doors; across the street; up to St Helens PO for post (0.26 1st class stamp); 363s AR to Cos Ho; walked back to Bram doors again crossing street opposite the door; people moving just ready to pull out in maroon truck C312 DYN; no one in Walkway; bar/grate door closed to 503; window closed to next door kitchen but curtain pulled open in the middle to be able to see; inside in a flash; windy outside but sunny with white clouds blowing by quickly.  Forgot to include cheque with AR.

                    as I came out of the small room, I heard a door squeak, stood by it looking out the peephole but saw nothing; then heard “Dad” called twice like the other day; sounded like it might have come from outside so opened living room door but nothing again; went back to the peephole only to hear more door squeaking; these were long; then a male voice said something to someone and the sound of heels came out and walked down the Walkway away from here; did not see anyone; the heels then came back; more door locking noises amid what sounded like keys on a chain; the door was relocked and heels sounded again with the sound of a male voice too; they receded toward the front door with it slamming; I saw no one at; all looked all visible areas of the Walkway and possible doors; must have come from underneath; think it was a man and a woman with the man talking and the woman in heels; door shutting noises were quiet and no bar/grate sounds; just the keys rattling; went back to the bathroom; put on trousers thinking I heard a vehicle sound outside; came back to the living room along the back wall to the bookcase; moved in a crouch to the bed; got the note book and moved it to the table soundlessly and me to the chair.

Looking for the utility bills; sorted the stacks of pubs and post: went through all the stacks basically organising them and throwing away the rubbish; sorting out the post; looking for the past utility bills; there was a honker who arrived; noises on the balcony below; and finally just at the end noises from above as the thumper moved in to make his presence known.

At this point I finished and went into the bathroom for a dump; I made very little noise; almost none but got the noises described below especially the tracking at the end of my sojourn as the “hits” above were distinct, loud, heavy and obviously intentional in following me as I walked from the bathroom to the kitchen and returned to the chair; it was and is raining outside.

Tue, 18 May 1999 - 08:03:01    Back to chair to a loud, heavy El Rollo above; had just been into kitchen to wash my hands following a trip to the bathroom for a dump; with much activity; door squeak deliberate and extended by moving door back and forth while in the bathroom; lots of noise underneath moved in after I had been a there a couple mins; as I was leaving there was an El Rollo hit on the floor above the bathroom and another just as I entered the kitchen on the floor directly above me there as well as the aforementioned El Rollo as I sat back in the chair after washing my hands; this is a deliberate effort to terrorise me with tracking overhead and cause as much distress and disturbance as possible; it followed on from the end of my sorting activity above.

Tue, 18 May 1999 - 19:06:56    Snap goes the cassette as it shuts off completing Side A; then I open the cassette door and close it for two more noises; then there was the sound of voices outside followed by autos leaving.  Guess I made some noises; normal though; but verified my presence and they then left.

Tue, 18 May 1999 - 19:25:45    Into the bathroom for a pit stop; I made not a sound but there was water flowing underneath the entire time; noises from the kitchen next door; knocking on the wall; some guys in the Walkway talking; one sounded like a southern accent; they ended just as I left; looked out peephole and saw nothing.

[Fell asleep here only to be awoken; I ignored writing the initial thumps from above and dozed off; but they continued after I fell asleep and woke me in a very short time.]

Tue, 18 May 1999 - 21:50:17    Thumper just came in a minute ago trying to “thump” me awake; I was already awake; just after I lay down there were two instances of the same thing happening as I lay still; I did go to sleep and was awoken; believe his thumping on the floor above did just that.  This is the most obvious and blatant attempt to actually wake me and do so.  This will be recorded.
