0740    Out: dumped rubbish down 3rd floor chute; 5 lg bags on floor some open; down middle stairs looking back this way; neither heard nor saw anyone all the way out the Walkway; down Bram stairs and around corner up walk past Gren Two to Silchester; thru Verity Close; along Clarendon Rd to Holl Ave; up to tube sta and across; up and around corner to Holl Park and its entrance; walked all the way through Holl Park to the upper part of the athletic field;

0815    Holland Park rest stop: sat on a bench for some 30 mins in the shade with the brilliant sun shining elsewhere; guy came by picking up rubbish; dog walkers and runners; very nice quiet moment to relax and experience my perpetual headache;

0845    Departed Holland park rest stop: walked to Ken Hi St and down to Edwards Sq; walked south to the pub that is under construction (that nice one is now gone); walked on bottom of Edwards Sq to other side and down to Pembroke Rd; out to Warwick; much construction going on for new flats; new Tesco on Cromwell/Warwick Rds; forgot about it; went inside and browsed the whole store; got some food (0.55 pita bread); walked down Warwick Rd to Earls Ct exhibition main entrance eating a couple pita bread slices; Bruce Spring Steen just finished performing there; last concert 23.05; walked thru it and around side to Earls Court 2;

0945    Arrived Earls Court 2 Internet World ‘99: waited here for the opening of the exhibit; strolled in and quickly made the rounds; it was very small; got the Menet CD for free business web access; this was the real reason I went; nothing else of much interest; mostly free “selling” seminars;

1020    Departed Earls Court 2 Internet World ‘99: walked back around to main entrance again and up Warwick to Cromwell Rd; walk west on it to Hamm entering the bus/tube sta complex and walking through to the other side; down King St to the Mall;

1100    Arrive Kings Mall Hamm: into WH Smith to look at computer mags; got pubs (10.97 PC Direct 2.25; PC Mag 2.99; PC Plus 4.99); out the back through the parking elevator after a pause to brush my hair in the gents for signing on; walked across the street to the ESJ;

1120    Arrive ESJ Hamm: signed on by young, slightly heavy guy with bit bushy hair; blonde came up to say something to him while I was there; no questions; he just reviewed the record in the monitor and signed me on.

1125    Left Hamm ESJ and walked home the short route; thru Tusseley Rd underpass to Shep Bush Rd; across and up from there to Rockley Rd and through the Safeway Mall; across to tube sta and around thru the subway to Ed Woods Est; thru it to Freston Rd; Bramley Rd and the Bram door across from the Station Tavern; did not see anyone upon return but heard someone; as I was unlocking my door; door squeaked above and someone came down the stairs; when I turned around to close the door, they had gone past and the front door slammed; bar/grate open below; two bicycles chained to the railing above;

1205    Home: Post: Barclays Internet CD; Whiteley’s Cinema flyer/vouchers.  

Put brief case and carryall on bed; into kitchen first to get the food cooking; filled empty water bottle an two glass fulls of water with cold water; it did not make any noise in the wall from running water; two measured cups of noiseless hot water into brown rice and green lentils pot; sliced chilli pepper, garlic, ginger; into pot with curry powder; came to boil and put on . . .

1223    Simmer.  Sliced the onion (rinsed it and plate in noiseless hot water), two sm potatoes, carrot, ½ sm broccoli; put away stuff including water bottle in fridge and returned to living room.

Front door slammed; voices in that area; then someone going up the stairs to the 4th floor talking too a girl; left bathrom and looked out peephole but could not see anything; heard them talking overhead as he tied up his bike to the railing making a small noise; she was asking if he had “many bikes to work on” [checking out the wealth factor]; he said “yes” and added that he was putting it where “no one could get at it”; I came into living room to the bed to write this just as I heard their voices overhead especially the sound of hers; heavy footsteps went across the floor and the sound of a wardrobe door slid open most likely but it was very faint.  No more sound from above as I wrote the above; definitely believe that they went into the flat above and directly overhead; also suspect that he might be connected with watching activity because the timing was too coincidental; an auto also pulled up again as I sat up before to note the time;

Wed, 26 May 1999 - 00:11:28    Believe that he went back outside to tie up his bike after I finished writing and lay back down because he had rushed inside to see what I was doing having come from outside when I got up; instructions from whom (the girl?); no, think that she was with him.

It is absolutely quiet now; there were voices from outside just after I sat up originally before getting out of bed for the bathroom.

[Looks like I got about 3 hours of sleep here bringing the accum total for the night to 4.5 hours which is just about normal in these disruptive times.]

Awake twice after three hours (about) [and 1.5 hours]; and a dream at the end which was tumultuous; first one involved tracking; the second a poss loud clank.
