1055    Left eE; raining hard; walked to Hamm ESJ via Ken Hi St and Hamm Rd in the pouring rain and wind all the way; I was soaked when I got there;

1125    Hamm ESJ; signed in with thin guy w/ glasses; told him about eE; he was excited; conducted me across the way to the young woman with whom I talked last November; she claimed that I had not done the Agmt then; I recall having signed one; filled in questionnaire with suggestions (free trans passes; 24/7 telepone Net access; more responsive Gov; anti age discrimination legislation); we again discussed eE; the Net; activity; she had unpacked her computer; set up with modem to go; explained the upcoming BT fixed net access charges; updated diplopia; will get letter;

1200    Left Hamm ESJ; walked via Tusseley Rd to Tesco for food (1.10 sm granary malt baton, salami, tom soup); into their toilet to brush hair; needed after rain soaked journey to Hamm ESJ; must have looked like a jerk there; rain had stopped when left; really needed drying out which I got while there;

1225    Left Tesco; walked to Brook Green; made ½ sand on a bench with bread and salami; walked along eating it to Hamm Rd; made the second sand w/ other half bread and rest of salami near benches opposite North Rd; walked on passed Olympia down Ken Hi St to eE; went in and upstairs; there was hard a termina left; I saw two in the far corner; sys will be slow so left; down and out;

1305    Departed from eE and walked east along Ken Hi St; decided to go on walk to 20/20 to get letter and check on contacts; it was only about an hour away; on down Ken Gore to Knightsbridge just on inside of Hyde Park; started raining again about half way and got soaked again; stopped under cover for a bit in Knightsbridge; went on up on the street in the still pouring rain to the Hyde Park Cornr toilets for a pit stop; dried my face and front of hair; brushed hair to look a little better; walked on down Piccadilly after crossing Hyde Park Corner in the subway; rain had stopped so my drying efforts were preserved as was my hair; but then it started again about St James and I got soaked just before getting to 20/20;

1415    20/20 where I dried off with some towelsLenses available; Simon not there; Vanessa got copy of the letter; put in lenses and she examined my eyes for fit; OK; got some AO Sept solution for daily cleaning (£8.99 less £4.52 leaving £4.47 due); NHS voucher was £43.60 for £55.00 for the lenses leaving £11.40 due; total due £15.87. excellent; all very well done and in great shape;

1505    Left 20/20 into none raining day once again; through arcade; up the Bond Sts to Oxford and down to Orchard St and up it and Baker St to Marylebone Rd; down to the Western Eye Hospital; into the clinic reception; they will take letter and send me appointment; if I need an appointment today, go to casualty; said this was not an emergency; went up to the first floor to copy letter; new secretary there; very nice; Mrs Ferguson has replaced Mr Acheson who has gone to better pastures; back down to the clinic reception and left letter for them to forward to Mrs Ferguson for review and an appointment;

1605    Left the Western Eye Hospital and walked the usual route back; Iwas tired and dragging my feet slowly to get back; down Praed St to the Cravens; over to Queenway; up to Westbourne Gro and down it thru the Colvilles to Elgin Crescent to Lad Gro, Lancaster and Silchester to the path by Gren Twr down to the Bramley doors; up and down the Walkway; I noted that the floor was beginning to warp where the water was accumulating each and everytime it rained; the old woman with the dog was coming down the middle stairs ever so slowly; she really needs a lift or ground floor access accommodation; went passed her and to the front door area; the rubbish by the 2nd floor chute where the mountain of rubbish still existed stacked up to the bottom of the rubbish chute; still over 12 bags of rubbish and sundry bits of cardboard and debris there; looks like it has not been put down the chute all day; must by there again all night tonight; walked up the stiars and to my flat; there was a large puddle of water in the area approaching my door but the bottom of the stair was clear as was the Walkway; it must have really accumulated all day with the two heavy rains way had in the morning before noon and after 1300 that I found myself walking around in; bar/grate closed but the kitchen window next door open; sound of a male came up below me making some comment or two; unlocked a door below;  unlocked my front door and went inside;

1715    Home; turned on light; locked door; someone going in below; door slam; little girl talking loudly; picked up the post; into living room; dog barking below; carryalls and briefcase on filing boxes;upacked carryalls; put stuff on chair; into kitchen w/ food and AOSept; opened tom soup; got thuds below kitchen sink just like detection activity; put tom soup into glass after rinsing it in hot water; got clanking bar/grate from door below that came thru to kitchen (door noise); dog was barking below coming in thru the kitchen window it sounded like; back into the living room with the tom soup; dog still barking below; removed notebook from briefcase; put on table; plugged in and booted;

Of course the report will be distorted and she will probably go outside stalking; since I had only three hours sleep last night and was walking all over today especially in the rain; it was a very tiring day; so I am exhausted and am going to bed early; now they are outside to listen for my noise making which will not come [no pun intented] as I intend to sleep all night starting now; but there is always the certainty that someone will attempt to wake me by means of external noise to produce the sound for which they are stalking me if not above then outside from the road or underneath on the front footpath with a voice or voices; and then below with its pounding and door slamming; Oh yeah I heard voices out front while writng which sounded like the “S” went out there and was greeted by someone;

Tue, 29 Feb 2000 - 21:24:38    Back onto the bed; update; voices out front talking very faintly; calling the shots on the move I just made;

Tue, 29 Feb 2000 - 21:30:15    Thuds from below now in the small room hall area; I go to bed and they roll out the activity; it is the worst thing they can do because they are disturbing me at the worst time and creating the problem by disrupting my rest which they then distort; their activity is self fulfilling;

Tue, 29 Feb 2000 - 21:31:52    MS goes by in front along the front footpath; seems to be driving around out here now; sounds like it came down fromt the pen to the road and is positioning itsef somewhere to the right to join the observers; I just now got a comment from outside in a faint female voice that sounded like it said “He’s fucking”; [of course I went to bed as described to sleep after a very tiring and long day walking in the rain after only three hours sleep last night] that’s the problem; they keep up the lies and keep up the disturbances so that I will not get sleep and at some poitn will make a noise upon being woken; the MS too; with its movement back and forth on the front footpath; all of this is disturbing and distressful causing anxiety and anticipation for being disurbed later which contributes to the problem;

Tue, 29 Feb 2000 - 21:36:48    That was it; the distress and anxiety creator supreme: a thud from above from one single stomp ont the floor over the bed; just to let me know that I am in for disturbances tonight while the watchers are out front so that I will be prepared for it when asleep to respond by making a[n unconscious] noise against the foot stomping from above;

Tue, 29 Feb 2000 - 21:40:54    If these people insist upon sitting out there and talking all night long they are going to keep me from sleeeping and really contribute to the harassment and stalking directly;

Wed, 1 Mar 2000 - 01:20:14    Male voice outside murmurs (sounds that way) as I sit up; this is great; four hours straight thru without an interruption; woke up from a dream I believe and was lying on my back; that breathing caused me to wake; excellnt dream but forgotton; was trying to go to sleep and woke slowly; had it a min ago but then lost it; if I can remember one little bit then it all flows but cannot do that now with this one;

Wed, 1 Mar 2000 - 01:28:05    The male voice was very noticeale a min ago; loud and definitely there; also a brief sound as I just now sat up; I am too interested in getting back to sleep; almost let that comment go but did not want to overlook it because I woud forget it;

[(2)To sleep for 1.25 hours bringing the total so far to 5 hours sleep tonight; I woke and went righ tback to sleep which I had been trying to do anyway; shows that something most likely woke me above which was apparently myself in this instance, and I could have slept rlight through otherwise; hit from below after I woke tells me that most likely I was woken by such a hit from below;]

Wed, 1 Mar 2000 - 03:03:55    Awake after another dream; this was an optometry related one; again it is gone leaving me with only the sense and feeling of it; feels good; trying to get the lenses right; all this has just happened [it’s was a dream about what had just happened in my life];

                Started fax and departed; into hall; unlocked door;

0940    Out; locked door; [cannot recall if wet or not by door; believe that there was a puddle outside my door and at the bottom of the stairs but uncertain]; walked down the middle staris and out the other end Bramley doors; across the street and to the left down Bramley to the Ind Estate Rd; Ed Woods Estate and onto Holl Pk Roundabout; down Holl Pk Rd to Warwick Rd crossing Ken Hi St along the way to Tesco for food (1.76 5 jam donuts; 1 can salmon, 1 sm granary malt baton);

1030    Left Tesco walking via Edwardes Sq while eating jam donuts to Ken Hi St and eE; logged on briefly noting that it was £1/2 hours so I just checked my Email (nil) and left; did not even open notebook; [to be honest, I am not even sure that I logged on at all; I might hve just left but don’t think so; seem to recall getting on and off; this shows that the diaries can only be done immediaely; any waiting will lead to an inability to recall what was done at all actually]

1100    Left eE; it was still partly sunny with clouds but not bad like yesterday; walked along Ken Hi St to Hyde Park; stopped at the gents for a dump; went on down Ken Hi St and Ken Gore to Exhibition Rd where I took the road just inside the park down to Hyde Park Corner; the Household Calvary about a dozen horses in formation plus several others who were not) were drilling in the park area; the armed guards were at the motor entrance to the barracks; sad they have to be there but very necessary especially after the most recent incident in NI; waited for an auto to enter there in front of me and went on to Hyde Park Corner; just before getting there, two women (mother and daughter) who could not speak English well asked for directions to Hard Rock Cafe by holding its name in front of me; I tried to explain to go straight, thru the arch, under the Hyde Park Corner Subway, and striaght to it under the buildings which were visible; they nodded their heads but sure if they did get it; after walking a few steps; I told them to follow me since I was going that direction and they could find it that way; they again nodded yes but did not do so; sorry about that; it’s too bad since it was very easy to find; walked this route passed Hard Rock and down Piccadilly to 20/20;

1200    20/20 upstairs to the counter where Simon was taking care of a customer; when he was free gave him the two days of unused daily “trial” lenses; explained that he had given them to me as extra when it was not usual to do so; I had not used them and were returning them so he could pass them along to someone else; thanked him for his work; said that all was perfect as I was wearing them then and departed; walked thru Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Sq stopping at the Prince Charles Cinema to see what was on and get a weekly programme; then out the other end of Leicester Sq across St and thru theatre’s, by Round Table pub and Sheeky’s with a top hatted doorman there now; across St Martin’s Lane and up to Tesco Metro for food (1.19 Danish salami, sm granary malt baton; ½ pt milk);

1235    Left Tesco Metro for Covent Gardens down King St; browsed around the outside of the main bldg looking for a free bench and finally found one on the other side that was inside the large building; sat down with the pigeons and others to eat my salami sand and drink milk; gave the crumbs to the pigeons; they looked like a deserving, greedy bunch; walked back thru Leicester Sq looking at any films that I might really want to see; did not see any, and there was nothing of interest on at the Prince Charles Cinema; amb followed by down the Sq to the ½ price tickets area where I stopped to look at what was on the board; I am sure that the tickets would be over my non-existent budget and there were no matinees of interest; walked on to the Panton St Cinemas and saw that Spike Lee’s Summer of Sam was playing; this is one I wanted to see for its background period during the summer of 1977 which was clearly billed as such on the ad;

1315    Panton Cinema (4.30 Summer of Sam); I was a little scepticle of the quaity of this film at its start and wondered if I had not made a mistake, but it turned out to be an outstanding film that I thought was excellent for its portrayal of an ethnic neighbourhood in the Bronx and all of its characters in the summer of 1977; it was not about Sam Berkowitz but a psychological charactr study of the reaction of various types of entrenched enthic peoples in a “ghetto” area of the Bronx on the water which was presumably the beginning of Long Island Sound; Spike Lee did a brilliant job of potraying the different and diverse characters for this white, working class neighbourhood as only a black guy could posibly do; even though the characters where cut to types for dramatic constrast and noth something that would really exist in quite this extreme presentation, they did reflect the underlying diversity of a New York neighbourhood outside Manhattan which is true for much of the world and even in London; most especially in the Lancaster West Estate; this was a brilliant film about mob action and reaction to the Son of Sam killings which had been going on for a year in its area and culminated in the Summer of 1977; the film was about the psychological impact on the residents of this unknown murderer and the terffible reprisal against an innocent guy they just did not like; they created him as the Son of Sam in their minds beating him into a pulp at the end when the real Son of Sam (Sam Berkowitz) had just been captured becaue he had gotten a parking ticket which a witness had noted; fascinating about the film was the change and destructive nature of the characters involved each of whom came apart and broke down in their own false lifestyle except for the scapegoat victim who was building a life albeit down a road that was not to their liking and fraught with destructive elements too for both himself and his “girlfriend”; they each were surviving the deadly trap of the neighbourhood and their own destructiveness to apparently grow toghether out of it into something else; itwas a brilliant film in its portrayal of humanity as it is and life as it is for most people; there is a lot of food for thought in this film; much of it reminded me of Scorcese’s Bringing Out the Dead with its concentration on the impact on people’s character of the extreme’s of street life in New York’s Hells’ Kitchen and St Mary’s Hospital; I could see much of Scorcese’s influence on Spike Lee; I felt very good about seeing this film; it has left me with much to ponder as all good films should do; it would be good for all the residents around here to see it; wonder how they would react to it and what they would think and feel about it; they are not much different from this New York neighbourhood and certainly the story behind the scenes, the Son of Sam murders, is always lurking as a source of fear to drive people to mob action to expiate that uncertain and undefinded fear; but the film’s story  is told in very concrete, explicity ways by action and dialogue from each character that illustrates these points so the the filmgoer does not have to understand it in any sense than one of feeling the experience of such a summer of fear and what it does to human behaviour in bringing out the black side of people’s character; there were other events which compounded this fear like the blackout with its looting and rioting; the closing of the discos and clubs in the area and the wearing of wigs so as not to be a short haired brunette; it was an excellent study of crowd psychology that everyone can relate to and bring away a meaningful feeling about reality and behaviour rather than prejudice and ignorance which breeds fear, false accusations and violence; I was very glad I saw this;

1600    Left the Panton Cinema for the long walk home; up to the Swiss Centre passed an empty pol car parked by the corner; thru Piccadilly Circus; down Piccadilly passed 20/20 again and on to Hyde Park Corner; stopped in the Gents for a pit stop; up and down the inside road of the park again passing the Horse Calavry barracks wth its armed guards; going to have to stop going this way to assuage any suspicion; I’m sure they are aware of anyone repeatedly passing by; it begain to rain once again; after a day free of rain where I remained free of gettign wet, it started to rain lightly then turned to hail and sleet; it was cold in the upper atmosphere; there was sun shining all the time however in the west where there were no clouds while the rain clouds passed over and to the north where it looked like a very heavy rain was falling; I kept my dark glasses on the setting sun was shiningso brillinatly on the horizon under the cloud; walked diagonally from the Serpentine to the children’s play area north of Ken Palace where I took off my dark glasses still in the rain which had continued all along the way; out across Bayswater and down to Notting Hill Gate turning right down Ken Park Rd to Blenhim Crescent; St Marks Rd and over to Lancaster and Silchester Rds; down the path by Gren Twr to the Bramley doors; up and into the Walkway; up the middle stairs and down to my flat; water gone from outside my door; unlocked and went inside;

1750    Home; turned on light to lock door; picked up the post; brought it with the carryalls and briefcase into the living room; as I was closing the living room doors, noted only one of the two lights was on in the BT box on the wall by the living room door; this meant my telephone had serious problems; put the carryalls and briefcase on the filing boxes; unpacked the carryalls and removed the notebook from the briefcase; unwrapped chords, plugged in and booted;

My nose is stopped up and I feel feverish; too much walking around in the rain and hail yest and today; could be getting sick which is causing me to feel very tired too; need the rest and sleep to make certain I do not get sick; [sleep debt attacks the immune system as its first victim]

My stomach is also hurting from blocked wind also after I ate that sand; this happened after lunch for several hours all afternoon with a stomach pain; now it has started with my eating again; I should not have eaten anything;

Wed, 1 Mar 2000 - 20:55:05    The “S” voice was raised just as I fiished the above entry; it came from the rear living room wall area; was the second time that has happened; believe that she is informing them outside about what I am doing and writing because they went immediately guiet just as she spoke; they are now talking again but much lower;

Wed, 1 Mar 2000 - 21:19:05    All of a sudden the women to the right break out in loud talking especially one; she walks toward this way and up the footpath below; the is talking very, very loudly as if she wanted me to hear what she had to say; she was saying “Goodbye” and “Bye“ very loudly;

[(1)Finally fell asleep after 2.5 hours in bed; as I was exhausted and undisturbed, I slept on for 4.25 hours; woken by an external crack/snap noise that was extremely loud and as a stalker notes my presence; would have slept on I am sure without the stunning nosie waking me since I was so tired;]

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 01:37:31    Sound of a male voice outside just as I sit up; “There he is” very faint but could hear it ever so slighly; even caught the phrase; just woke a couple mins ago by a very loud crack/snap sounnd when I was asleep and deaming or I worked a dream around that noise; lay there for a bit because I was or had been in a deep sleep; heard the sound of the dehumidifier from below and what sounded like the “S” voice; believe that noise was heard there too; it was very loud; dream is now forgotten, but it was a good one;

I was on my way to sleeping all night straight thru when that noise woke me; it could have been a very loud plastic crack from from the monitor; that’s what it sounded like but never heard it this loud; still not certain what it was;

[(2)Back to sleep (immediately I was so exhausted and tired again indicating an external noise woke me) for 1.75 hours; believe the phone clicking wake me again even though it was not working; evidently an attempt to call will produce an incoming noise anyway; the voices outsde could have also been a contributing factor; total sleep so far tonight 6 hours;]

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 05:23:01    The pounding from below in the kitchen area was loud and clear; stopped as soon as I sat up to note it; now it continues; in the rear living room wall area; there are people outside and should be able to hear this; problem is they will note my sitting up and the pounding stopping; and probably not note its resumption because it was not as loud; heard voices out front earlier while trying to sleep;

                there was a very quiet bar/grate clanking durin this activity; pulled plug to drain; ran out formally; out after about half drained; flushed toiletl dried; brushed hair; deodorant; scrubbed out the sides of the tub as it finished draining; normal draining is that it finishes when I am ready to leave the bathroom;

    While waiting to talk with the sys mngr at eE; a guy was talking about his need to do 150 hours of work on the Internet and looking for a bargain rate for that kind of access; he was talking about the need to meet a deadline; at that point after already having suggested working 0000 to 0600 for a pound, I asked him if he needed help in all seriousness; we discussed it some more; it seems as though he is only getting $1,000 over a 90-day period or about £200 per month (£50 per week) for a project which sounds like ten to fifteen hours per week of work for himself; he said that he cannot outsource because he is only getting very little; that was true; I was offering him my card when he explained that he was not able to outsource giving the details above; he added that he was looking at it as a means to build further work for himself with these people; this is the kind of thing I am looking for if I can find a large enough project on the Inernet that someone needs doing; the difficulty is to make certain that I can get the minimum I need to get off benefit for at least six months; even if I had this project in its entirety I could not take it because it would not be enough; but I will count this as a contact for a possible job; this is why it pays to be out there, working on the Net and talking with people; the key to this as I explained to the sys mngr at eE was the new BT Internet free weekday night’s access and existing free weekend whch will no only cost £9.99 (incl VAT) per month; this would make that kind of acivity cost effective but I must think of my total costs which are a minimum of £125 per week including rent after taxoes (there should be no tax on that much income anyway if I earned it directly); keep thinking about it and working at it; it must be understood that I will never do anything off the books;

                I made not a bit of sound in the bathroom; female came out from another flat nearby quietly and departed saying a few quiet words as she did so; otherwise no noises at all from elsewhere; back into the kitchen taking the lunch plate with me to brush crumbs into rubbish and rinse off; back into the living room;

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 16:29:20    Dog starts barking away on the balcon below and runs into the flat below followed by a door slam below;

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 16:35:52    Loud thuds from below in the small roomwall living room door area;

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 16:39:43    Conintinuing numerous thuds and hits from below in the small room wall balcony door area now; more detection sound box activity(?); I wonder because it has been so quiet this pm; the lull before the storm(?);

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 16:43:54    The numerous thuds are continuing from below in the small room balcony door area;

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 16:48:05    Hit from below in the small room living room door area after the  continuing thuds stopped in the balcony door area;

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 16:49:59    Numerous thuds now continuing from below in the small room living room door area;

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 16:52:11    One last hit in the small room living room door area (followed by two light ones) then no more for the moment; all set up for detection sound recording activity(?); pathetic that they are working for the criminal harassers against the victim; shows the mentality of the Bronx ethnic neighbourhood taken over by local instituions of bigotry dirven by fear, ignorance and hatred.

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 17:18:16    Very loud and disturbing noises are continuing now with loud furn scrapes in the balcony door area;

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 17:25:11    Very hard, loud door slam below; followed by thuds from dropping something on the floor; the numerous continuing thud and noises from below in the small room area continued up to this point;

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 17:28:20    Dog barking below on the balcony creating a significant disturbance;

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 17:34:59    Thuds and very loud furn scraping continue below in the left bed room area;

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 17:35:53    Into the bedroom to change clothes; removed clothes; into the bathroom for a pit stop; I made not a bit of noise; heard a double light switch click from below; as I went back into the bedroom, there was a furn scrape from below the hall area; put on my casual clothes; back into the living room for the hair brush; into the bathroom to brush hair; back into the living room putting the hair brush back ino the carryalls;

Thu, 2 Mar 2000 - 17:48:54    Several very hard hits below in the balcony door area; the “S” voice talking out front to a male whose voice was heard just a minute ago; perhaps she is the one who just left from below to go  outside to talk with him; initially her voice sounded earnest and trying to communicate something very important; (like my activity(?); he saw the Summer of Sam yesterday; horror of horros; she probably did not understand a word of what I said which was exactly an indictment of precisely this kind of ignorant and prejudice activity based on fearthat has misplaced itself on a vulnerable object and seeks all kinds of justifications which she thinks are valid and, of course, totally wrong); her voice had the general
