1. If the date and times are a little confusing here, it's because I prepared this after midnight BST from a news story that went on all today. I am subjected to continuous 24/7 minute-by-minute surveillance technology abuse and have been occupied all day and evening dealing with this by means of documenting it. My day never ends. Incidentally, the date and time for publishing this web journal is PST some eight hours behind BST. In that sense the new day does not start until 0800 BST.

Two terror suspects 'on the run'

The government argues public safety is paramount

Two terror suspects put under control orders to restrict their movements have gone on the run.

One is a British man of Pakistani descent who fled through a window of a mental health unit two weeks ago.

He is accused by the authorities of wanting to go to Iraq to fight and had been subject to an order since March.

The other man, an Iraqi, is thought to have been missing for some months. Home Office Minister Tony McNulty said he did not believe the public was at risk.

Asked on BBC Two's Newsnight why the Home Office had not told the public earlier about the suspects' escapes, he said: "I can say very clearly and assure people that the people who needed to know in both cases have known."

The Home Office is worse than dysfunctional as I've been noting for years.

The technology exists to monitor these people who are considered a serious threat so that they cannot escape. They can be tracked wherever they are, and any deviation can be immediately addressed. This can be done from a central control room with a few monitoring and tracking many.

Instead of using this technology against those who are a serious threat, innocent and honest people like myself have been subjected to it for years for no legitimate reason. I've been monitored and tracked by this technology since February 2001 seven months before 9/11.

The great tragedy is that the media and most especially the BBC are not reporting this and asking the key questions about why this technology is not being properly and appropriately used.
