Paedophile policy 'not media-led'

Terence Grange
Mr Grange claimed policy change followed media pressure

Education Secretary Alan Johnson has rejected claims by a top police officer that policy on paedophiles is being driven by a tabloid newspaper campaign.

Dyfed-Powys Chief Constable Terry Grange said he was extremely concerned the Home Office had "surrendered" power over policy to the News of the World.

The paper says parents have a right to know where paedophiles are living.

But Mr Johnson says Home Secretary John Reid is the last person to be "pushed around by anyone".

The senior police official Terry Grange ACPO has accused the Government of caving in to the tabloid press. This is absolutely correct.

It's patently obvious that by considering Megan's Law the reality of the shift is one of taking responsibility away from the criminal justice professionals and putting it into the hands of the general public which is vigilantism.

This is not a shift of the balance in favour of the victim. It is enabling the community to take the law into its own hands.

The proper way to deal with the very serious issue of paedophilia is to make certain that the criminal justice professionals (police, judiciary, prisons and probation) are enabled and of such a high standard that the community is protected.

By shifting this responsibility to the general public in the community by disclosing the names of paedophiles and their location the result will be an abrogation of standards and professionalism so that the community takes the law into its own hands.

This is part of a general pattern of behaviour which I have experienced directly for the past eight years with the general public provided with surveillance technology to carry out a vigilante witch hunt activity against me for reporting crime and antisocial behaviour.

The Church in such witch hunts has been replaced by psychiatry augmented with surveillance technology as a weapon to totally invade the privacy of individuals putting the official seal of approval on vigilantism by those who falsely accuse someone to get rid of them. In my case they don't want their own crimes and antisocial behaviour reported and seek to discredit such pastreports. It is mob rule at its worse.

I am totally innocent but have been subjected to continuous surveillance technology abuse by those whom I reported for child abuse to protect the children as a result of officially sanctioned vigilante behaviour. This makes it impossible for me to address my grievance about the mob rule carried out against me.

This destroys all that society has developed with so much difficulty during all the centuries of civilisation's growth to protect against mob rule and such things as witch hunts. This Government is restoring mob rule.

You should expect to see my experience becoming the general norm with surveillance technology in the hands of the general public under the auspices of the NHS and police based upon false allegations against someone who is not liked.

This especially protects those in Government by repressing the problems of government management in favour of image management by destroying the [bad news] messenger. All of this will occur outside the judicial and law enforcement systems as I've been experiencing for eight years 24/7.

John Reid is just the kind of person to put this into place since he has been Health Secretary at a time when this activity was going on against me which has included the NHS about which he was directly informed during his tenure there.

There is no reason to think he will be doing anything different as Home Secretary, and it has emerged in a general context with this "caving" in to the tabloid press to bring about vigilantism under the mask of 'shifting the balance of the criminal justice system to favour the victim' as was stated by your reporter.

Favouring the victim in such a manner is officially instituting lynch mob rule. It's an admission of failure that this Government cannot manage the government professionally as we've already dramatically seen in recent events with the release of immigrants from prison without consideration for deportation.

This also includes child abuse with the tragic death of Victoria Climbie as an example of such government failure that has not been corrected which is similar to my experience although on a lesser degree. The child abusers have been carrying out their violence against me since I reported their child abuse under the auspices of the government using surveillance technology as a weapon since August 1998. This is what rolling out local control really means: not getting the job done properly but covering up the problems by destroying those who report them.

This Government has also watered down and diminished the high standards of the police with Community Patrol Officers who are slated to be increased. This is part of an overall diminished standard in law enforcement and the legal justice systems to enable hatred and bigotry to officially flourish.

The result will be a society turned upside down with the vigilante mob ruling.

If you saw Eric Rohmer's "The Lady and the Duke" on BBC Four night before last, you will get a picture of the ultimate conclusion of such vigilante mob rule as was depicted in the French Revolution. This government is pandering to the masses for votes in a debased manner because it cannot deliver essential services. What it will get is a violent revolution with that mob unleashed in the streets venting its hatred and rage randomly. Individuals will feel free to destroy those whom they do not like.
