Web Journal Friday 21st July 2006

I've just started reading Stella Rimington's autobiography Open Secret (Arrow Books/Random House, London 2002) which has been on my list for some time. I've been prompted by a comment from the Director of Liberty on BBC News24 recently to see what Ms Rimington actually said about MI5 operating in Germany against the IRA when it moved internationally including targeting British military installations and troops in Germany.

I've been stopped momentarily by a comment from this former Director-General of MI5 in her preface Reflections on September 11th 2001 to this paperback edition where she made the following statement (p xvii):

"We in the UK hold certain freedoms sacred--freedom of speech, freedom of movement, freedom of religious belief, freedom from intrusion into our private lives. Understandably, unless faced with clear evidence of a present danger, British governments of whatever political colour will lean towards providing maximum civil liberty. To behave differently is to let terrorism win its war against democracy before the first shot is fired."

She then goes on to describe the shift in the "balance" in the other direction where safety takes on a greater "emphasis . . . than our civil liberties." I want to point out that she is mistaken about this generalisation with regard to the UK since extreme abuses existed prior to 9/11 which I experienced directly for three years 24/7.

I want also to note that people abuse the shift in the balance away from civil liberties by taking it to such an extreme that Ms Rimington is entirely correct in her conclusion that the war on terrorism is lost before it even gets started. In addition, such abuses of power feed terrorism for the fanatically inclined to tip them over into destroying innocent people along with themselves.

The democratic rule of law, law enforcement, the judicial system and democratic institutions have been long destroyed in my direct experience since August 1998 based upon nothing more than the dark side of the human character and its ability to obtain and use totally invasive surveillance technology against an innocent, honest and decent person for the perverted purpose of carrying out extensive crimes to cover up criminal activity including the abuse of the surveillance technology.

As a matter of fact, such abuses are the very essence of terrorism itself and are used by people who self destruct when they abuse power against innocent people with the intention to destroy human activity and life itself as I have directly experienced for eight years 24/7. It is terribly naive to fail to recognise universal existence of the dark side of the human character with its sadistic component which will invariably emerge when fundamental standards are abrogated.

Open the door to the dark side of the human character, and it will rush in to destroy the centuries of struggle to establish a fair and just society under the democratic rule of law. Much worse is the fact of World War II where the dark side of the human character emerged in Fascism, a form of tyrannical government based upon power, which cost the lives of 50 million before it could be stopped.

There is no disposition in the UK or anywhere else for that matter towards ideals or any "sacred freedoms," and this is especially true of the government any government. The only way these freedooms are preserved is by maintaining democratic institutions under the democratic rule of law where there is an opportunity for the individual to have the right of "balance" under the law and in the judicial system to address and stop abuses of power.

When that is not possible, democratic values and standards do not exist, and tyranny has taken over. Such has been my experience for the past eight years with which I am dealing in great detail with respect to its many facets and manifestations that I have directly experienced during these eight years and go on as of this writing.

Fri Jul 21 09:58:27 BST 2006 At this time one of the males using the surveillance technology against me shouted "Bookworm" as I finished editiing the above causing me to laugh out loud. This was his ultimate comment of rejection and dehumanisation which refelcts the kind of abuse in which these people engage continuously attacking me personally regardless of what I'm doing. It reinforces what I've described above and the naivety which accrues to those in charge or formerly in charge of the security and intelligence services about the character of those actually on the ground carrying out the work.

Give ultimate power to the psychically crippled personalities like these, and sadistic abuses mushroom. This is terrorism, seeds terrorism and destroys the very essence of civillisation, the language and written word transfer of knowledge from generation to generation and democracy itself with its standards and values which we seek to maintain. My point above is proven by this abuse. This is book burning in the 21st Century by another means using the current state-of-the-art technology. What do you think a person with this attitude and character is actaully going to do? When character is understood, actions can be predicted.

Enron 'witness' found dead in park video newsclip from BBC News describes the death of Neil Coulbeck whose body was found in an east London park. There is reference to an FBI interrogation against the background of Mr Coulbeck's despondency and the extradiction of the so-called "Nat West Three" who were being sought by the US to stand trial in Houston in regards to selling an undervalued asset of Enron to themselves then making a great deal of money by reselling it later. During the week when these three were being sent to the US, Mr Coulbeck's body turned up in a London park.

Although not shown making her comments about the FBI in this particular video clip above, Shami Chakrabarti does appear in a short segment standing in the middle of the "Nat West Three" who were associated with Neil Coulbeck. In a later interview on BBB News24, Mr Chakrabarti, Director of Liberty, was noted as asking the question "We're entitled to know if the FBI is operating in the UK" when Mr Coulbeck's death was discussed in conjunction with an allleged interview by the FBI. I thought this incredibly naive of Ms Chakrabarti who should have know full well that the FBI operates freely in this country as does MI5 agents operate freely in other countries.

For the most part this is entirely legitimate and necessary activity on the part of these law enforcement and security agencies. This is what caused me to order a copy of Stella Rimington's autobiography because I recalled her comments at the time of her book's publication about MI5 operating in Germany seeking to get the German police to arrest the IRA terrorists who were bombing UK military bases in Germany and killing British troops.

On page 199 of her book (Open Secret, Arrow/Random House, London 2002) she describes this activity when she was Director in charge of Counter-terrorism at the time Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister. She makes further comment on page 216. I wanted to see exactly what she said about this activity in her book before I commented from memory of an interview broadcast on BBC's Women's Hour some years ago, so I did not include it in the Email below. It must be recognised that the FBI operates internationally just like MI5 out of necessity and to good purpose.

My point is that this type of operation is being abused in the extreme for the illegitimate purpose of corrupt self interest in my direct experience and has been for going on 24/7 for many years since August 1998. In this context Shami Chakrabarti in her role of Director of Liberty is hopelessly naive. Of couree the FBI operates in the UK and well it should. Stella Remington has a photograph in her book showing her standing with FBI Director Louis Freeh in his office in 1996.

My overall point is that the human character is deficient everywhere on both sides of the law and in every country in the world. Internal diligence must be maintained by the security and law enforcement agencies that is equal to the diligence accorded the threat from terrorism, organised crime or whatever.

ROTFLMAO

Excuse me while I get up off the floor having been rendered incapacitated with laughter.

Ms Shami Chakrabarti is clueless and has deliberately made this her method of operating with respect to Liberty as I've been informed by Liberty when I simply offered information about the US Government agents/contractors operating in this country for years.

Former US Marines Lt Harry Bird, Colonel Vine and others have destroyed completely the democratic rule of law and its institutions in the UK by the extreme abuse of power using surveillance technology as a lethal weapon.

They have used this technology to imprison, interrogate 24/7, torture and carry out the lethal use of this surveillance technology while engaging in continuous threats of violence and death.

This could easily drive many to suicide. They've been making every effort to destroy my life with nonstop abuse for many years. Fortunately, I am solidly grounded and have been able to cope with this 24/7 torture going on now for eight years while I continue to try to make it public in the general media and inform organisations like Liberty in order to bring it to a halt. As long as it keeps going on, I will keep reporting it except to Liberty.

I once had an employer on Kings Road ask if I was hiding in Chelsea from the FBI. Evidently, the FBI had been around interviewing him about me. This was in 1993. I didn't think it unusual, but I did recognise that this constituted interference in my life which could cost me my job through constructive dismissal.

I did resign a couple months later after extreme abuse from this guy who was the owner of the firm. Since I worked in intelligence during the 1960s with a Top Secret Codeword Crypto clearance, the FBI has kept track of me. People have noted this to me in the past.

All of the information about the loss of sovereignty of the country to the Bush administration is there on my web site and web journal whose URLs are noted below. Read on if you want to stop looking like idiots.

BTW the FBI operates out US Embassies around the world. I can prove that with a letter from an FBI agent which was sent from an Embassy location overseas to me, but the location was not revealed. [I was trying to bring crime and corruption to the attention of the FBI's New York Office.]

In my general experience in the past, the FBI has been a reasonably good organisation and far more trustworthy than some other corrupted law enforcement agencies but was subjected to problems which made it ineffective more recently.

In many instances, the FBI is the best place to go if they have jurisdiction. Operating out of London's US Embassy has to be a fact of life involving Federal crimes in the US as is the case with the Enron scandal. They would also especially be targeting organised crime, drugs, etc.

How naive can someone who claims to be in charge of a UK human rights organisation be?

News24 is becoming a comedy show. Come on, you can do better than this.

*****End of the Email*****

At the beginning of 2004 I sent an Email to Liberty offering them information that I thouught might help them do their job. This was coincident with their representation of Katharine Gun's whistleblowing with respect to NSA's request to GCHQ where she worked to target key United Nation's countries for information about Security Council voting. The reply I got was quite shocking reealing to me that Liberty was only interested in publicity and not serious human rights abuses. Here is my correspondence to Liberty at that time:

Shami Chakrabarti
Director of Liberty

Dear Ms Chakrabarti

Re Privacy/Surveillance

I sent an Email to you on 7th January 2004 and received the below reply from Ms Megan Addis noting my Email to you of 15th [sic] January 2004. This was my concluding paragraph in that Email:

"Please let me know if I can provide Liberty with any information so that you might better be able to address these kinds of threats in our society today. My purpose is to address this problem on the lagest [sic] scale possible as best I can given my direct experience for over five years. I've concluded that any power will be abused, and there must be safe guards against all of it. However, no one really understands the true nature of the surveillance technology today in order to make certain those safeguards are in place. My purpose is to ensure that everyone is as well informed as is possible. "

My reply to the incredulous reply from Ms Addis denying me assistance when I only offered to assist is as follows:

Dear Ms Addis

My comments in reply to your Email are as follows:

My difficulties are not what is important. The implications of my experience for everyone are of utmost importance.

I brought to your attention the most serious breach of civil liberties, legal and human rights you will ever see in your lifetime. What exactly is it that you pretend to be protecting and extending?

>We seek to take on
> specialist test cases in these areas that force changes in the law, usually

> Act 1998.

Every single article save one in the European Human Rights Act of 1998 has been violated in my situation for 67 months of totally invasive surveillance driven terror and torture interrogation 24/7 carried out by scores of people in the general public along with the active participation by multiple departments of government at the local and central levels up to and including the Prime Minister.

This also includes surreptitious medication intended to incapacitate and debilitate inside my home and wherever I am by various means constituting medical experimentation on an involuntary human guinea pig. All of this has resulted in personal injuries of the most serious kind, and its very usage is lethal.

Naturally, the European Human Rights law was not effective in the UK until October 2000, so that the whole 67 months is not covered by the UK adoption of that law.

This represents the most important and original test case you will ever encounter and will force changes which protect people worldwide most especially yourselves and people like you.

This has more to do with the abuses human rights under the existing and potentially new Anti-Terrorism law than any other situation of its kind with complete and total documentation and evidence.

> I hope that you understand our difficulties and accept our apologies for
> being unable to assist you.

I did not ask for assistance. I sent information to you so that you would be better informed. Obviously, you haven't a clue about what you are doing. I wouldn't want any assistance under these circumstances even if I had sought it. I received a similar Email in 2001. At that time I concluded that you were only interested in publicity.

I note that with the change to Ms Chakrabarti's leadership that she has just brought along with her and incorporated the Home Office at Liberty to ensure that the Human Rights abuses by Her Majesty's Government are sustained.

I don't think you read what I sent, and you appear to have hit an auto reply button.

Every time I see Ms Chakrabarti on television, I'll send along a copy of your Email to the media with my comments about what she has to say and the human rights abuses you are not addressing noting what a splendid job you are doing as an extension of the Home Office's repressive policies to destroy human rights.

Your work as a charitable organisation serving the interest of human rights abolition on behalf of the Home Office has been well noted.

Are you now working on sustaining the extradiction treaty before Parliament which will allow the US to extradite from the UK based only upon suspicion, while the UK must meet full legal evidential standards for such extradictions from the US to the UK? [emphasis added]

Naturally, you have no interest in the human rights of the Guantanamo detainees either as I can see from your reply. You obviously condone terror and torture carried out against innocent people.
