Hundreds wrongly dubbed criminals

Nearly 1,500 [revised to 2,700 later in the day at 1544 - see link below] people have been wrongly labelled as criminals by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB), it has emerged.

The Mail on Sunday said the mistakes had led to some people being turned down for jobs or university places.

The Home Office said the errors arose when personal details were similar to a recorded conviction but represented "a tiny proportion of cases".

It said 90% of disputes were resolved within 21 days and, while regrettable, it would not apologise for "caution".

Only 0.03% of the nine million "disclosures" the agency makes had been wrongly labelled in this way, it said.

How can almost eight years of surveillance be carried out 24/7 by scores of people and not get anythng right doing great harm to the target and community as as result? The Home Office is responsible and accountable. Does anything actually go right at the Home Office besides its revolving doors?

I'm not talking about "incompetence" in my situaion. I am talking about and describing the deliberate effort to distort everything and anything which suits the purpose of maintaining the surveillance activity against me for the corrupt self interest and perverted objectives of those involved.
